Mono : Lineshaft Borehole Pumps
Surface-driven pumps for deep bore and grid-less applications
Mono NOV Lineshaft borehole pumps are designed for remote, deep bore applications where grid power isn't available. Handling flows up to 810 l/min and heads up to 300 m, they're well suited to problem bores such as gaseous, abrasive, or with high water temperatures, where a standard submersible pump/motor would struggle. It's a simple, well-proven concept: a surface-mounted drive head, several lengths of column, and a shaft coupled to a progressing cavity pump element at the bottom of the bore.
The system comprises seven basic assemblies - a combined discharge and drive head, heavy-duty galvanised column, patented bobbin or spider bearings, a drive shaft (carbon or stainless steel), column stabilisers, the rotor/stator pumping element, and a strainer with foot valve. Because there are no electrical components at the wet end, Lineshaft packages can be driven at ground level by PTO, electric motor, diesel, petrol, or increasingly large solar arrays, with retro-fit kits available for existing systems.
