Blacktown International Sportspark is a multi-purpose sports venue that was initially constructed to host the Baseball and Softball events during the 2000 Olympics held in Sydney. Since then the site has grown to include facilities for AFL, Athletics, Cricket and Soccer; the Sportspark is utilised by sporting groups such as the Sydney Blue Sox (Australian Baseball League) and the Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club (Hyundai A-League).

The Sportspark has just completed an expansion of the Football Park that included several soccer fields to be used by 22 local football clubs and 10,300 players in the Blacktown Districts Football Association. As part of this development Pumpserv, a dealer of BBEA, co-ordinated and performed the acquisition and installation of the equipment for the pump station required for the irrigation needs of the site; which included a Triplex Lowara 316 stainless steel booster set with an Inca control panel including variable speed drives for each of the 11kW motors, a Filtaworx stainless steel automatic cleaning water filter, a UV disinfection unit as well as all 316 Stainless Steel pipework in the pump station (most of which was fabricated onsite).

Pumpserv’s network of suppliers as well as their ability to manufacture the components required for this installation was crucial in ensuring that the project was completed on time and within the budget allocated for this project, delivering to the people of Greater Western Sydney this addition to the world class sporting venue that is Blacktown International Sportspark.
